Today’s meeting is with Daniela Borgarani and Gabriella Corsaro, respectively president and director of the vocal group DOLCI ARMONIE, a female choir founded in Parma in 1998.
Well, what’s special about this choir? Simple: from 2001 to 2024, they have participated in our festival an impressive ten times!

Good morning Daniela, Good morning Gabriella. So, tell us something about your choir: how did it begin and why only women?
Our choir was founded more than twenty years ago by maestro Beppe Boldi, who directed it continuously until 2019, the year he passed away. Beppe’s idea was to create a group that, after directing many male choirs, would perform the same pieces but with completely different sonorities. And he emphasized that working with us women was easier… He considered us his pride and joy!
What is your preferred repertoire?
We sing a bit of everything, from sacred to secular; our repertoire ranges from Provençal songs to reinterpretations of 60s melodies. In short, we present many genres but with a single intent: to demonstrate our passion for music and, above all, to convey emotions to those who listen.
How does generational turnover work, is it easy to recruit new choir members?
We are basically the same members from twenty years ago. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to find new choir members: despite rehearsals being only one day a week, recruiting young voices here in Parma seems impossible!
A memory of the choir’s founder, maestro Beppe Boldi.
Beppe embodied the true, pure enthusiast of choral singing; before being our director, he was first and foremost a friend, and he was the guide who introduced us to the beauty of choral music.
Generally, how does your annual activity unfold, are there fixed appointments?
We participate in numerous events and choral festivals, but among all appointments, we’d like to highlight the one most precious to us, the ‘Memorial Beppe Boldi’, an event we created specifically to remember our founder.
Your first participation in the festival dates back to 2001, and since then you’ve returned nine times. What do you like so much about the festival? Is there a particular episode you remember?
For us, choral singing is a way of life, and that’s exactly why we love participating in an event that brings together so many choral groups from around the world. We can truly say that during the festival days, the Puster Valley becomes the home of choirs! Of our many participations, we remember the one in 2019, when Beppe conducted ‘Signore delle Cime’ in San Candido, performed by all participating choirs. What an emotion…
Thank you Daniela, Thank you Gabriella, good luck with your commitment and, of course, SEE YOU IN THE PUSTER VALLEY!
