The Plan de Corones swing ... gives us wings!

altalena di plan de corones

Dolomites does not mean only skiing, winter and snow. At Plan de Corones, even in summer it is possible to enjoy mountain life in many, many fun ways. One of these is the Plan de Corones swing: a thrilling 15-meter tall structure!

When it's time to take off the skis, many cyclists and hikers arrive who want to live in contact with the smells and the consistency of the mountain at high altitude. Plan de Corones is 2275 meters high. It is a place more or less easy to reach for the whole family and offers an incredible show from the top of the whole Val Pusteria. The routes dedicated to trekking and cycling are the most varied, and will satisfy even the most demanding hiking professionals, thanks to all the different degrees of difficulty expected to reach the coveted peak. Bike tours, mountain bike trails, but also relaxation and good food.

If the climb was not enough and you want to go even higher, the advice is to get to the ski and hiking area of Plan de Corones, where you will find a giant swing ready to make you feel all the adrenaline you have in your body. It's called Skysraper and it's a sturdy wooden and metal structure that is assembled in summer and disassembled in September. To reach it you have to use the ski lifts from Riscone, Passo Furcia or Valdaora and reach the Plan De Corones refuge. Skyscraper provides a harness with which to hoist at height 15 meters adventurers who do not have problems with vertigo. The metal rope that was used to hoist it upwards is then unhooked and at that point it starts to rock itself literally in the sky. From that height, with nothing around, it will seem to be part of the landscape all around, formed by the Zillertal Alps.

If you are in Val Pusteria during the summer, this is an adventure not to be missed if you can keep your nerve! The attraction is part of the "Dolomiti SuperSummer" Card which includes summer experiences to be experienced in Val Pusteria in more than 12 valleys and 90 ski lifts.
