7 days in Val Pusteria: what to do?

First of all choose a base in San Candido or Dobbiaco, among the most characteristic villages of the life of the valley, excellent starting points for excursions. The rhythms of the valley move from sunrise to sunset respecting nature. In the evening the chatter of tourists calms down a bit as nature goes to sleep, and at night it strikes us with its starry sky as in a few places you can still observe.
Day 1
The Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park attracts guests thanks to the wonderful atmosphere of an enchanted world, countless hiking trails, bike tours and the Natural Park Visitor Center. Young and old can let off steam on the rock gyms and in the nearby rope parks. Together with the Anterselva lake, the Dobbiaco lake and the Misurina lake, the Braies lake is a stop for romantics and adventurers!
Day 2
Go and see the sunrise on Monte Elmo! From mid-July to mid-September, the sunrise on Monte Elmo colors the sky and the peaks of Sesto with a shade of red that is unforgettable and leaves a sense of peace and recharge in anyone who observes it. For those with strength, at this point you can go to visit Lienz, perhaps using the cycle path. Thanks to Pusterbike you can get on at every train stop. In Lienz, Bruck Castle, a lively old town and many shops, awaits you.
Day 3
Dobbiaco is a beautiful place full of natural parks where you can admire the woods, fauna and flora, and discover a lot of information about the places in the Dolomites where the First World War took place. In the woods behind the Dobbiaco Natural Parks Visitor Center, there is a nature trail "the forest" consisting of three stations "the magical world of the forest", "the village of trees" and "the Celtic horoscope".
Day 4
The walk through the three peaks of Lavaredo. The tour of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is one of the walks par excellence of the Val Pusteria. The three peaks, side by side, are very popular and are full of hikers at all times of the year. On the other hand, the path to get there is quite simple and suitable for everyone, even the dwarfs, without any kind of problem. There are 5 stages of the route that pass from the Rigufio Auronzo, to the Cappella degli Alpini and to the Rigufio Lavaredo from which you begin to climb via two main roads.
Day 5
Another unmissable stop is the one at the Ries-Aurina Natural Park, which passes by the Earth Pyramids, an incredible natural spectacle, and continues to the Gönneralm, elected in 2017 "the most beloved Alpine hut in South Tyrol".
Day 6
Impossible to go home without having seen the glare of the sun on the peaks of the famous Dolomites which are called Meridiana di Sesto: the largest solar clock in the world! Consisting of 5 Dolomite peaks Cima Nove, Cima Dieci; Cima Undici, Cima Dodici and Cima Uno; names that correspond to the time when the sun touches their peaks.
Day 7
We arrived at the end of our 7 days in Val Pusteria ... We can take the opportunity to take a walk in the beautiful villages of the area that we did not have time to see: Brunico, Sesto, Dobbiaco, Innsbruck, Monguelfo and Villabassa, Lienz, San Candido.
